FAQS

Life coaching is for everyone.

Life coaching is not for everyone. Some people are in need of therapy, more than they are in need of life coaching. Life coaches don't work on past trauma and are not licensed psychologists or psychiatrists. If you have unresolved issues from the past that you need help working through, it is best to receive help from a therapist, counselor, psychologist, or psychiatrist to help you with your needs.

What is the different between a life coach, mentor, and consultant?

A life coach will help you establish your goals and the plans to achieve those goals, based on the decisions you make. Your coach will help guide you along the way and provide support and tools to you need to be the decision maker you are.

A mentor will provide life coaching services, but will also provide examples from life experience to help guide you along the way.

A consultant will also provide some of the life coaching services, in regards to helping you establish your goal, but will use their expertise to help you develop a plan to help get you there. Additionally, consulting services can include more services such as contacting necessary academic institutions, housing possibilities, etc.

How much does life coaching cost?

Life coaching can range from hourly charges to thousands of dollars for courses that last weeks to months. The average hourly life coaching rate is $100-$200 per hour, and you meet on average 3-4 times per month. At New Day Life Coaching, services start at $75 per hour, and there are packages available for purchase that can reduce the overall cost. There are also limited financial awards available for services if you are in need of services but have difficulty paying.

*If payments are difficult for you, please reach-out to us at info@newdayllc.net, and include your name, date of birth, and the type of services you are interested in. Please also include a brief description of your situation that would necessitate the assistance of a financial award. Please use the subject line "Award Request".

I am already successful, so why would I need a life coach?

Truthfully, no one needs a life coach, but we can all benefit from one! There are always areas in our lives where we need extra support, guidance, or even an area where we feel we can be more fulfilled. A life coach can help you with extra support and guidance, and steer you in the right direction to lead a more fulfilled life. Professional athletes are excellent in their specialty sport, but still use the guidance, support, and encouragement of coaches for the various aspects of their profession and lives. We don't have to reach our goals alone, and we don't need to sacrifice things in our life to get what we want. You can have the same advantage as a professional athlete, with a life coach.

Is there homework involved?

Life coaching does involve homework. There are also assessments and questionnaires to help you determine the goals you would most like to focus on, and to prioritize your wants and needs. Homework often involves practice and implementation of your desired plan.
